WHAT PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU FEEL ARE NECESSARY TO BE A SUCCESSFUL SURVEYOR?
To be a successful surveyor, you need to be able to communicate effectively, have excellent work ethics and morals, adapt to technological advancements of surveying equipment, and multitask daily.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?
The best part of my job is working with excellent licensed surveyors (RPLS) that offer great advice and guidance in the profession.
THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT INDUSTRIES THAT ONE COULD BUILD A CAREER OUT OF. SO, WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SURVEYING?
Funny thing is, I didn’t choose to be a land surveyor, it was chosen for me. While serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, my occupation field was Engineer Assistant, which is essentially a land surveyor. However, once I completed my service, I was fortunate to find a job in land surveying in the civilian sector.
WHAT WOULD IT BE IF YOU HAD TO LEAVE YOUR HOUSE FOREVER BUT COULD TAKE ONLY ONE OBJECT WITH YOU (ALL PETS AND HUMANS ARE ALREADY COMING WITH YOU)?
I would make sure to bring my personal storage drive because it has years of family pictures and videos.
